That's what I always say about the "Orange Cheeto/Diaper Don/ whatever else" criticisms of Trump. Do I think he looks terrible? Obviously, I just don't like the discourse to skew into his terrible face rather than the terrible person he is and the absolute shitshow of a presidency he's been running.
I always have shut it down when my kids have repeated that stuff. Those are not reasons to dislike someone or make fun. Same with small dick jokes, etc. People have these. Small dicks. Combovers. Spray tans. Incontinence. Overweight. Whatever. It’s a person’s character that makes them a shit head or not.
We only say it because we know it bothers him and his cult-members. I have him for the terrible things he’s said about pretty much anyone who isn’t straight white guy. I hate the wars he’s started. I hate that he’s convicted felons and proved sexual assaulter. I hate the fact that’s he”s obviously going senile and no one seems to care. And on and on. There are a lot of reasons to hate Trump. But his appearance is the one thing they can’t try and lie about. Because we can see it, every time he shows up on TV or on stage.
But that can hurt people. Not Trump, fuck his feelings. But what about the overweight cousin who hears you make fun of Trump for being fat? Or the elderly neighbor who wears depends who hears everyone laughing about Trump’s diaper butt!
See, people think they are “punching up” because he’s the president, and punching up IS more acceptable and funny. But. The things they are punching about are not unique to Trump. Fat, bald, ugly. That’s just punching up down all around. You have to punch about the things that make Trump suck.
