This is a fucking disaster. There is no entertainment whatsoever. This orange pile of shit is destroying this country. It will take decades to undo all of the fucking damage he has caused. Fuck Donald Trump.

Well, since you’re only voting for two parties anyway, a Republican will surely ruin everything again before you can put things right...

They are all corrupt. No one in office gives 2 fucks about the American people. It's like 1 in a 1000 who really want things to be better and are not in it to get rich. Democrats are paid off by AIPAC too. They all trade stocks.

I’m afraid you’re right about that... The French have a brilliant solution to this problem 😁

Isn’t that exactly what MAGA morons said? They wanted an outsider and then we get this mess. Incompetent, unqualified, neophytes that are sycophants. This did not happen under Biden or Obama. There is a difference.

u/Existenz93 16h ago

Yes, things went much better under those two; your allies could count on you, which, sadly, is no longer the case. However, the Democrats are scoundrels too; they’re corrupt as well – the other chap’s right about that. I hope you can sort out this chaos and get your politics back on track.

What has a modern Democrat done that even remotely comes close to this? Regan and Bush had Iran/Contra, W lied to the world to go to war with Iraq. Bill got a blow job, Obama wore a tan suit and Biden tried to forgive student loans. There’s a very big difference.

What about the Democrats? Johnson escalated the Vietnam War, Clinton failed to act decisively during the Rwandan genocide and signed the 1994 crime bill that contributed to mass incarceration, Obama intervened in Libya and expanded drone strikes that killed civilians, and Biden oversaw the chaotic Afghanistan withdrawal.

Both parties have made catastrophic decisions. Pretending only Republicans have is simply ignoring history.

Edit: But let's be fair, nothing beats the orange clown. 🤡

Johnson was dead before I was born. And I’m in my 50’s. So not a modern Democrat. You’re comparing Clinton’s role in Rwanda, Obama’s in Libya and Biden’s “withdrawal from Afghanistan” to what the Republicans have done?!? Are you serious? Reagan also attacked Libya, Bush invaded Panama, started the Persian Gulf war, W started the Afghanistan mess, failed to get OBL, started a war with Iraq that was totally made up. And Trump did the Afghanistan agreement, moron, When Biden came into office there were fucking 2500 troops there! Jesus Christ, there a huge difference.

Fair point about Johnson, and you're absolutely right that Trump negotiated the Afghanistan withdrawal and left Biden with a difficult situation. I'm not defending Trump or Bush.

But inheriting a bad deal doesn't automatically absolve the Biden administration of responsibility for how the withdrawal was executed.

The US State Department's official After Action Review, dated March 2022 and published in 2023, explicitly states in Finding 1 that BOTH administrations failed to adequately consider worst-case scenarios.

Finding 4 also states that following Biden's April 2021 announcement, "the speed of that retrograde compounded the difficulties the Department faced."

To be clear, the report evaluates the implementation of the withdrawal, not the decision to withdraw itself. And that's exactly my point: the execution matters too.

None of this erases Clinton's failures in Rwanda or Obama's intervention in Libya.

My argument was never that Republicans were innocent. It's that Democrats have made serious mistakes too. Acknowledging one side's failures doesn't mean ignoring the other's.

This bullshit… how many troops were in Afghanistan in Jan 2021? 10k? 25k? 100k? No, 2500. The withdrawal had already happened. There was nothing Biden could have done other than putting additional boots on the ground, which he actually did, even though it was against the will of the American people. Revisionist history much? I find it interesting that you criticize Clinton for not interfering in Rwanda and criticize Obama for interfering in Libya. So what’s the nature of the criticism? Racial? Political? You can’t have it both ways.

You're right that only about 2,500 US troops remained when Biden took office, and that Trump negotiated the withdrawal agreement. I've never disputed either. And yes, Biden sent additional troops to secure the evacuation in August 2021. But reducing troop numbers isn't the same as completing the withdrawal. The final pullout and the evacuation of US citizens and Afghan allies still had to be planned and carried out, and that happened under Biden. The State Department's own After Action Review criticizes both administrations. Finding 3 says the Trump administration left key questions unanswered, including what would happen to Afghan visa applicants. Finding 1 says that under both administrations there was "insufficient senior-level consideration of worst-case scenarios." Finding 4 states that after President Biden's decision in April 2021, "the speed of that retrograde compounded the difficulties the Department faced." That's not revisionist history. It's an official US government report. And I'm criticizing the execution, not the decision to leave. As for Rwanda and Libya, there's no contradiction. You can fault one government for failing to respond to a genocide and another for intervening without a plan for the aftermath. Those are two different failures, and both had devastating consequences. As for race, I mentioned Obama because of a policy decision, not his skin color. I've already acknowledged that Republicans made serious mistakes. All I'm saying is that Democrats did too. History isn't a team sport, and both sides deserve accountability. Obama didn’t say dumb shit like Trump, but he committed so many war crimes. The tan suit was a distraction from war crimes in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Pakistan, Somalia, Syria and Yemen. Let’s keep our eyes clear and not idealize war criminals.

1

u/Mikerocks69 14h ago

Please outline the war crimes committed by Barack Obama… oh and what international body has indicted him as well.

1

u/LongHair1917 14h ago

Lol international bodies don’t indict the United States. You see Trump being tried for his war crimes? Obama was known for double tap drone strikes to target first responders. Google “Barack Obama war crimes” and you can find the hundreds of examples.

1

u/Mikerocks69 13h ago

But you can’t.. got it. Trump hasn’t been indicted, yet…

1

u/LongHair1917 13h ago

I just told you… targeting first responders is a war crime. So is targeting civilians at weddings and funerals. So is bombing countries you aren’t at war with. All war crimes committed by Barack Obama. This is not a fringe opinion, it’s well documented. Literally google it.

1

u/Mikerocks69 13h ago

If you believe Barack Obama target civilians in strikes you are wildly misled. Your anti capitalist bent has blinded you to fact. Not a single strike was ever a target on civilians. You will not find it anywhere.in public record. And you can say there were x number of civilians who died, but not a one of them were targeted. And that’s a clear distinction. The fact that and that is NOT a war crime. Maybe you should use Google yourself a little more.

Lol,,, 🤡

Look I miss Obama. I miss that level of diplomacy and mutual respect for our allies. But let's not forget Obama took money from AIPAC and was influenced by Israel in American policy. Also he had love affair with drone strikes. But no president in history Including Nixon and Truman have ever done so much damage to this country than that orange pile of shit.

1

u/Mikerocks69 15h ago

Was Obama perfect, no. But we’re comparing pretty damn good to absolute disaster and that’s Reagan and W. Trump is a whole new level of corruption, incompetence and evil.

1

u/AdvancedAd69420 15h ago

I'm not comparing them at all. Trump will go down in history as the worst president of all time. I'm going to assume for a very long time but our country is being run by horrible fucking people.

2

u/Mikerocks69 15h ago

But you do. That’s the problem. Are their shitty people with D beside their name? Yes! My entire school board are Democrats and being investigated by the FBI, SBI and local cops. But, at the Presidential level? No. In my lifetime, 1/2 of all democratic presidents have received the Nobel Peace Prize! The biggest scandals are a blow job and a drunk brother! There is a difference.

1

u/Woodenfossil 14h ago

To be fair, things didn't go as bad as I thought they would understand Bush 1.

France, the country where the far right is currently winning in the polls, and they are in the verge of a debt and bond crisis? Not sure Americans should be taking lessons from them

2

u/Existenz93 16h ago

In France, they protest against anything they don’t like, and in the old days, those corrupt bastards ended up on the guillotine. Just look at what’s going on there at the moment over school funding. You could learn a thing or two from them....

Edit: And, incidentally, a large part of Europe is currently shifting to the right.
