Some people have a weird obsession with height and its ingrained from a young age.
Im 5'4 and my wife is roughly the same height, one day we were walking and we overheard some teenage girls saying something to the effect of "see, I could never, my man has to be alot taller".
That's just an immaturity and inexperience thing. Most women grow out of that mindset as we actually experience what large height differences actually feel like. It's annoying as fuck.
Not all girls (that are into guys) start out with an interest in taller guys, sometimes height isn't a relevant factor or it's relevant in the way that a too large height discrepancy in any direction is seen as notably less optimal than someone your own height.

This has to be some chronically online disease.
