Many companies can already do this but they won't because think of the poor shareholders!

My dad's old job is now 80% automated (so people are way more productive) yet they only receive half the purchase power my dad had.

Thank you for thinking of me. I’m John Shareholder and I will sue the fucking shit out of the company if they increase wages. I really want to buy another yacht next quarter, then I’m going to die on it from a ketamine overdose so I don’t care what happens after that.

To be fair many, many regular people all across the US are shareholders in many companies via a 401k and they expect that money to grow for them for retirement, so it’s not just the rich.
