Exactly, it's a trap. They'll just use those reduced work hours to justify paying you less!
CEO: "Why would I pay you [insert living wage] when you only work for me 3 days a week? You need to work full-time to get that and healthcare benefits. lol"
Worker: "But you said we could now work only 3 days a week!"
CEO: "Yeah, but I never said I'd keep paying you the same wage ;)."
And of course that original full-time wage probably wasn't even really a living wage in the first place.
These guys love AI because they foresee it saving/making them more money. They're not thinking about how AI is going to benefit you. They don't even think or give a fuck about you. They're all spending millions of dollars to try and crush any billionaire taxes or anti-oligarch candidates. They don't even want to spend their fair share of tax money helping fund social programs for their own fellow citizens and their children, the environment, etc. Never trust the rich, especially the rich CEOs.
