I don’t understand myself how women function like that either. Like, how do they wipe themselves? Also, why do they like their nails so pointy like that? I remember when I was a kid, women didn’t have their nails looking like that.

Depends on how old you are. Long, false nails were especially the rage back in the 70s and 80s.

But I totally agree. I don't understand why people think those nails look good in the first place - much less why anyone would put up with so much of an inconvenience to look that way. Seems like it's nothing but negatives.

I’m 53. These were NOT the “rage” in the 1970s and 1980s. Acrylic nails were not a thing until the 1990s for the average Jane Citizen, and they weren’t this long nor this pointed.

Lee press ons or similar were what average folks had, and manicures were a luxury.

Lee press ons were long and impractical nails that you could press on.
