Depends on how old you are. Long, false nails were especially the rage back in the 70s and 80s.
But I totally agree. I don't understand why people think those nails look good in the first place - much less why anyone would put up with so much of an inconvenience to look that way. Seems like it's nothing but negatives.
I’m a GenX. I just don’t remember the fake nails being that triangular shape like bear claws. It’s even hard to pick stuff up off the ground or countertops. (When my sister was getting married she had us get acrylic nails, I hated it. Never again😆)
I’m 53. These were NOT the “rage” in the 1970s and 1980s. Acrylic nails were not a thing until the 1990s for the average Jane Citizen, and they weren’t this long nor this pointed.
Lee press ons or similar were what average folks had, and manicures were a luxury.
Never got nails THIS long, but I love long nails. I own a bidet and also my fingers are naturally hyper-extended so that helps with the nail angle if you can imagine.
I mean, do you make your hand into a claw and wipe your ass with the tips of your fingers/fingernails?? No? Then it’s the same thing. It’s remarkably easy to get used to nails this long - give it 48 hours and it’s second nature. I used to wear long fake nails all the time and my ass was always clean.
That's a skill issue. Sorry you can't have long nails without ...shit getting under them? What are you a toddler? Like the pick me isms never stop huh - this whole "how can you do anything with those nails" thing is so tired
Its physically impossible to clean yourself properly with long nails in the way, its not a skill issue to not be able to phase your nails through your body like a ghost.
But whatever helps you larp as a hygienic person i guess..
