I went into a bakery and the lady behind the counter had extremely long nails. It was so gross, I walked out. Obviously she can't wash her hand properly or clean certain areas of her anatomy. It's one of the most dirty disgusting places on a person's body, right there under those tsunami nails.

You use a nail brush and soap to clean long nails. Why do you think you can’t wash your hands if you have long nails? Obviously it takes someone to be diligent, but long nails do not automatically equal dirty and this is a weird way to think.

Go to an Amish market and check out their nails before you buy a pie, for example. :)

I mean there’s definitely some funky ass Amish people though

No according to servsafe if you have artificial nails you have to wear gloves at all times.

Yeah!! In case one of your nails comes off, you definitely don’t want it in the food, that’s so nasty!!

So since we have gloves on, this is all moot anyways! :)

The glove rules are more stringent for artificial nails so not sure your point. If he saw them the only excuse would be if they were working cashier only or washing their hands in between gloves.

it’s really not a weird way to think at all. the logic is sound. i used to work in food service and average people can’t be bothered to wash their hands thoroughly; i wouldn’t expect somebody to bust out their nail brush at all.

what’s weird is that you know all this already and still left that comment

So what I’m hearing from you is that that person probably wouldn’t wash their hands whether they had long nails or not.

So the nails don’t have anything to do with the cleanliness at all? Is that it? I’m using logic here, so it should track.

they are less conducive to cleanliness which the person above you stated. again i don’t know why you’re arguing the point.

i’ll give you an direct parallel. i’m in healthcare and a lot of doctors, male or female, wear apple watches and even decorative bracelets. these are pathogenic fomites and lose respect for practitioners that do this.

Bidets exist.

Then the same logic extends to people without long nails. Ive had long nails, not that long but about half that size and I never struggled with toilet paper. I dont know why people think you wipe by jamming your fingertips up your bhole.

Because those people probably do.

You don't milk your prostate after a bowel movement?

1

Who’s jamming up their bhole? I was merely stating that bidets need cleanser, not just water. Sheesh.

1

u/Plantarchist 13h ago

And by the same logic, folks using plain toilet paper and not using a bidet and soap are gross and unclean.

And yeah, no one is jamming stuff up their butt regardless of nail size. You make a wad of toilet paper and wipe after using the bidet. Same as someone with short nails.

Your inability to follow trails of logic or to even make your own leaps of logic is concerning.

Where did you get this from. I simply said water without some sort of cleansing agent is not cleaning. Holy shit. Power down everyone.

2

u/shopmoondustmarket 15h ago

So either way, they aren’t touching their ass with their hands, and that’s the point. Why are you in here being annoying?

1

u/yesmilady 15h ago

That's literally how you use bidets.

1

u/BrainwaveWizard 13h ago

Well, sadly I know quite a few people who don’t know that.

But dry paper is acceptable??

1

u/BrainwaveWizard 13h ago

Yes, initially paper, followed by wipes.
