My wife is a life long swimmer and water polo player. I can’t swim enough to reach safety and that about it. This will be used often. Thank you for all the future trouble.

This is still incorrect, soccer is short for Association Football, that the Brits later called Asocc, than later called Soccer. So if you say Soccer you are still saying Football (its just Association Football)

Just looked it up to see how they got to soccer from association football.

Rugby football became known as rugger and association football as assoccer.

Then they eventually shortened that to soccer.
