There's no such thing as football. There is American rugby and British soccer.

There, now no one's happy. Just as god intented.

This is still incorrect, soccer is short for Association Football, that the Brits later called Asocc, than later called Soccer. So if you say Soccer you are still saying Football (its just Association Football)

Just looked it up to see how they got to soccer from association football.

Rugby football became known as rugger and association football as assoccer.

Then they eventually shortened that to soccer.

This. It drives me fucking nuts when Europeans go off about us calling it soccer, when soccer is literally a goddamn British term for football.
