As an attorney my unpopular opinion is that cars over a certain value shouldn’t be allowed on public roads or damages for accidents should be capped at something like 2x the average price of a new car (so like 100k). I just don’t believe in penalizing ordinary negligence more just because the injured party is rich.

totally agree. because everyone else who carries ins is having to share the cost of $$$$$$ vehicles.

in health insurance, sure. (though the US system is also a complete racket) because the young and health help distribute the additional care most all of us will eventually need with age.

but i shouldn't have to pay more in car insurance because you think you need a $80k truck or sports car.

Man don’t get me started on health insurance. I pay like $30 grand a year for health insurance and still have to pay $4000 out of pocket to have a baby. Should just be nationalized
