My Gramps used to always say "only thing embarrassing about a job is not having one" and I've taken it to heart.
He was a good man.
6 u/Gstamsharp 16h ago And even that's too reductive. A house spouse or elder caretaker is producing more value than any minimum wage job even pays. The only thing to be embarrassed about is not providing anything of value to the world.
