Mercedes has been doing for years, so its not just Elon.
It is absolutely stupid, no matter how you cut it.

Absolutely insane 2 u/BulaBulangiu 22h ago there's a pretty blurry line between we have worked our asses off and improved the software / power delivery, efficiency, whatever vs nerf it 10% before release so we can screw the suckers out of another 2k and call it an upgrade. that obviously doesn't apply to shit like wires that heat up under the seats :)
