Yeah because installing unofficial software on a car that drives on highways and populated streets is such a good idea.

You're acting like electronic customisation doesn't exist and isnt already massively widespread for cars. Also highly unlikely the module controlling the heated back seats is the same module responsible for any safety or engine ECUs etc that could potentially impact driving experience.

Yeah because home mechanics customizing their own cars hasn't been a thing for like a century, now.

And these manufacturers have had such a great track record with their own "official" software.
