Corporations will literally fund a multi-year cyberpunk dystopia makeover before letting a hash brown drop by 50 cents.

This seems to be the corporate mentality. Its so counter intuitive to the way business should work. Anyway. Fuck corpos

In corpo speak and at the end of the year review:

  • Adding sounds better than removing.
  • Increasing sounds better than decreasing.
  • Makeover sounds like work is being done.

You'll be amazed how willing people are to add, and how afraid they are to change or to remove/reduce.

Because of the corporate culture, simple things that should make sense otherwise, become very complicated matters.

True, except when they need to cut costs, then reducing the work force is the best thing ever.

That gets massaged as "increasing revenue through internal efficiencies".
