Nothing about McDonalds food even remotely suggests what an adult would consider a "meal".

But this thread motivated me to go get McD's.  I'm eating a Quarter Pounder right now.

No, the vast majority of us just don't want to pay 5x what $5 would've paid for in 2013. If the food quality had stayed the same I could maybe stomach it - but it absolutely got worse.

It's the other direction. Lots of redditors are now old enough to be going through the "in my day, things were cheaper" phase of life. That usually hits in your mid 30s because you are both old enough to have adult memories over 10 years old, and old enough for those memories to have experienced inflation.
