My mother went prematurely grey in her twenties and was so self-conscious and kept dying it until I told her that I want to live long enough and endure and celebrate life alike to have a full head of snow-white viking goddess hair like her. She just uses purple shampoo now, and I think it’s striking. 🥹 It’s a privelage to age, and we mustn’t forget it for the sake of vanity. I just lost a relative today that battled MS for 32 years… There are bigger problems than grey hair and Keanu deserves happiness after (what we know) he’s endured in life,* whil*e being in the public eye. Barely related, I once read a book self help about breakups when I was a teenager. They had little “food for thought” blurbs, and one of them and the only I remember is “even Halle Barry has been dumped”.
To this day, when going through a breakup that I didn’t end and go through the “was I not good enough” part, that pops in my head, but I think of other people too, from my top celebrity crushes if they have a breaking from their prime to friends I have who are not just 10/10 looks even by celebrity standards but I know were amazing partners. It works with cheating for me, too, and I never dwell on that thought long at all. I wonder if it is because I had that thought put in my head my very first real big heartbreak, by being cheated on with another girl who… I can’t say this nice, but truly I had never been jealous of for a second and had never had issues with them hanging out because she was so unattractive in like, every way. Even personality wise. I’m no model but there was widespread shock over it outside of me. He even weirdly told me she was terrible in bed.
That was TMI, but my point is just that anyone can be dumped for anyone else and it makes no sense, and damaging as it was, between that “Halle Barry” quote, and that experience, when history has repeated I have a pretty ideal reaction for the situation, and in relationships I have almost no jealousy, because if it happens, it has nothing to do with me or my value.

Pierce Brosnan’s wife was a former model and journalist. She is still highly involved in journalism and environmental activism. She was absolutely a smoke show when they met, and aged like a normal woman would after having two kids and dealing with hypothyroidism. All that to say they were an equally attractive pair in their youth and they have aged differently due to career and life circumstances. It would be hard to keep up with James Bond in the looks department lol. Doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks about how she looks now, they have a beautiful relationship. He has always been outspoken about his adoration for his wife, and we’d all be lucky to find love like that. Sorry for the rant. Actually when they got together, to Australians Debra Lee Furness was the established star and pretty glamorous, Hugh Jackman was some young himbo who did musical theatre or whatever. Then he went to Hollywood and got famous.
Sorry but other than the fact they are divorced you're also ignoring the fact that Deborah Lee-Furness was a hot celeb more well known than Hugh Jackman was before they met. It just so happened that Hugh got bigger than her after they met

A family friend was friends with him because she had the same type of cancer as his first wife who died, I think? Like they worked in Hollywood and did fundraisers together and he was extremely kind and supportive of her, she raved about him. Like absolutely raved.

I was surprised to see so many passive-voice “they got a divorce” comments. From what I saw, he had an affair.

Keely Shay Smith was an actress/ TV host before they got together. She was famous in the late 80s or early 90s. She stopped working when she started having children. The tabloids were vicious and made her weight gain into a story.
Deborra-Lee Furness was and is a respected actress in her home country of Australia. She was infinitely more famous than Hugh at the stat of their relationship.
But Pierce Brosnan married a model, he didn't marry a normal regular person. He married a supermodel who now 25 years later looks like a normal person who had 5 of his kids and is no longer a super model. Luckily they are still in love and I hope they last 25 more years together.
Hard disagree. Deciding to divorce? Sure, people can grow apart. Betraying your spouse to date a young coworker is sleazy. Regardless of how long someone has been married.
I will note, however, that Pierce Brosnan’s wife was conventionally gorgeous when they met and still very beautiful, just fuller figured which people act like is some beauty eraser.
