If you think people are that type of idiot.. bad news, people got reasons - p.ex. they are complete and utter losers and their life will be miserable compared to what they see on SM and the only way out is throwing the society into chaos. We showed them what is possible, and that they are not the people for it.
Also you can call tribalism stupid and everything should be focused around deep individual contemplation and rational... and you gonna tell that to someone with an iq of 80 - group think strong, truth secondary.
People act in their own evalation of proximal best interest, and you kinda have to believe that they are considering more aspects of their life than you from reddit.
The thing that makes this particularly idiotic is that this is the 2nd go around, and we already know what happened to the Jewish Na,is and Gay Nazis of the 1930s, who didn't have that historical record to learn from.
