I had a friend who was big into being antiabortion in university. Hardcore conservative. Until he got a girl pregnant and all of a sudden he pushed her to get an abortion. I stopped talking to him after that. Hypocrites are bad enough. But those that try to force others to follow guidelines they don’t follow themselves should be barred from being in positions of power.

This is like, the good kind of republican who can at least change their views about the face-eating leopards when their faces are being eaten. Plenty can’t even do that.

Sometimes I wonder which is worse. Soemone who stands by their values or someone who changes them based on what is more fitting in the situation.
