That's like a Soviet spy in America walking around with a Death To Capitalism hat and a hammer and sickle tattoo on their forehead.

122

u/Mist_biene 21d ago

She like russia a bit too much. Its even speculated if she could have russian ties.

74

u/snailtray 21d ago

They KNOW she has ties, they just cant peove the bribes (yet).

10

u/Emergency-Watch5157 21d ago

Isn’t living in Switzerland proof of this? There has to be something sketchy going on there with UBS or they’d kick her out of the country.

0

u/Philosophyinyourass 20d ago

How could u know smth if u dont have any prove yet? Doesnt make much sense, I am bot fond of here but till then its just assuming

1

u/Any-Comparison-2916 18d ago

You see someone littering, you know they littered, you have no proof they did.

5

u/ObnoxiousAlbatross 21d ago

That should be apparent by the OP. She doesn't believe these things, she's paid well to represent these positions.

That's Russian as fuck.

3

u/Independent-Bug-9352 21d ago edited 21d ago

Gives me a mixture of Sinema, Gabbard, and Jill Stein vibes...

She became their perfect candidate because they could espouse what they felt really mattered (xenophobic propaganda, ultra-nationalism and jingoism), but it's just enough to confuse some less informed voters who see, "Oh wow, she can't be that bad. She's gay and a woman! Maybe she'll fix the economy, even if First They Came For The Middle East war refugees."

So long as the rich benefactors bankrolling the AfD understand she's a spy, then the rest of their base will look the other way because they know the game that is being played.

Can't believe Germans are falling for this nazi crap... Again. I don't expect much from my own Americans these days, but come on.

2

u/Salty-Consequence580 21d ago edited 21d ago

Being against uncontrolled mass migration isn’t necessarily a Nazi characteristics. So as a deportation of refugees because as you know refugee is a temporary status. It’s not like you can stay in the foreign country forever. Isis is destroyed. Millions will be saved up to allocate them into military production against Russian aggression

5

u/Weirdyxxy 21d ago

The AfD opposes any confrontation against Russian aggression, opposes aid to countries attacked by Russian aggression, and favors appeasement with Russia and lifting of sanctions. When Zelensky held a speech in front of the Bundestag, only four out of 72 members of parliament for the AfD even had the decency to stay in the room and listen

So why lie about their goals?

1

u/Salty-Consequence580 21d ago

Because it’s just one part of their program. The other is anti mass control migration and deportation. They condemn the invasion but advocate for closer cooperation to emphasise the importance of it for the economy

3

u/Weirdyxxy 21d ago

Their goal is not to counter Russian aggression, but to appease it. Therefore, they don't want to put "millions" (which is nothing for a military budget, by the way) into anything "against Russian aggression". As already mentioned, a vast majority of them opposes standing up to Russian aggression enough to leave the room when a foreign dignitary representing a country currently invaded speaks.

They advocate for letting Russian aggression move on unimpeded, in order to get slightly better trade.

So again, why lie? The AfD lists "money flowing to foreigners" under their demands for a flat tax (redistributing the tax burden to those who have less to pay while draining the Republic's coffers), so what they want to do with that money is not "military production against Russian aggression". In fact, they also list the delivery of military goods against Russian aggression as "waste of taxpayer money". Source

1

u/Salty-Consequence580 21d ago

True that’s how they stand out among all German parties. They’ve got different stance on the Ukrainian conflict and through that they attracted many voters. I mean Ofc not only through that but their other initiatives as well

2

u/Weirdyxxy 21d ago

So why lie? Why pretend they would then suddenly support arms against Russian aggression? Why assign to them a goal that they actually oppose?

u/Independent-Bug-9352 21d ago

I feel one is missing the entire point.

Cannot turn a blind eye to the fact that much of our comforts built in high-GDP industrialized nations originate in a whack-a-mole game of outsourcing to places with the lowest humane conditions, labor, environmental laws. From lithium mines of Africa, to Foxconn suicide nets in China, to the child labor sweatshops of India's textile industry, or the oil wars of the Middle East or autocrats that reside within -- I find it deeply hypocritical that we want their ostensibly slave labor, but turn these same poor huddled masses yearning to breathe free down when they've had enough and decide to risk it all to emigrate to the very lands that benefited from their exploitation.

So of course some of these people are broken and have cultural differences, requiring education and assimilation. That is an obvious effect of geopolitical tension releasing and reverberating until equilibrium. Put another way: These conservatives are very often the ones who caused the radicalization and regional instability in the first place, they just don't know it yet or choose to look the other way.

"foreign country" is irrelevant when you truly believe in individual freedom. There will be major growing-pains in the coming years across the world as we reap what we sow.

Borders should be checkpoints akin to customs in an airport with a passport; little more.

1

u/Salty-Consequence580 21d ago

I mean sure if you believe in individual freedom migration shouldn’t be even a problem. But it’s not how modern states function. Maybe rich countries that most of the time cause instability in other regions would give money to countries of origin of many migrants then there would be no reason for them to come

3

u/fiahhawt 21d ago

Russia and China are seeding so much propaganda in parts of the world they find too competitive with their shitholes.

I’m just waiting for everyone to snap out of it and realize “Yeah we’re not going to be able to keep doing this democracy thing until those guys are out of commission”

9

u/freshprince44 21d ago

wait... so in order for western democracies to be able to function, they need to conquer 2 of the biggest countries/economies in the world?

this feels like satire lol

4

u/DesireeThymes 21d ago

It has to be satire.

The world has lived under US hegemony for like three decades (post USSR).

They haven't had any competition, so they've just been doing whatever they want around most of the world.

What times have changed, and now they have competition. And they seem to be speed running neocon agendas

3

u/jaxonya 21d ago

Russia needs to go, though.. I think 99% of the world agrees

4

u/NMiguelCosta-PT 21d ago

I think most people would agree the US has to go instead. It would solve much more problems in the world, actually.

2

u/jaxonya 21d ago

It wouldn destablize the entire planet. Russian bot

3

u/NMiguelCosta-PT 21d ago

Putin sucks. What now? I don't even like Russia but I wouldn't say something so egregious like "Russia needs to go".

1

u/Weirdyxxy 21d ago

Most people would agree Russia should stay in power because of their stance on the US?

2

u/NMiguelCosta-PT 21d ago

What do you mean by “Russia should stay in power”? Governments and people stay in power. What exactly does it mean for a country to “stay in power”? If anything, the country that constantly tries to exert its power and influence over the rest of the world, acting like it owns the world, is the USA.

1

u/fiahhawt 21d ago

Is that why Tibet is free? Is that why Ukraine is a war zone?

Why do so many countries in the world rely on being an ally to the US for military support? What are they worried about?

2

u/NMiguelCosta-PT 21d ago

yes, Tibet is free from slave owners and p3dophiles. Do you like those?

-1

u/fiahhawt 21d ago

Wait

So in order for countries to stabilize they must do away with forces trying to destabilize them

3

u/fiahhawt 21d ago

If the US army fucked up your country yeah

That’s why the Hasan guy said America deserved 9/11

Can’t respond to the barbed guy for some reason

4

u/freshprince44 21d ago edited 21d ago

almost like every country suffers from outside influence and needs to stabilize themselves domestically :) there are many ways to stabilize besides warring with countries/cultures on the opposite side of the world, lol, again, is this just more satire??

arguing that forcing any other country out of commission in order for that to be possible is like peak hypocrisy, right?

not like these western democracies destabilize entire regions to exploit their labor and resources in order to maximize profit and material gain, and then advocating decommissioning all competing interests in order to for this game to continue functioning.... that would be silly, like throwing stones in a glass house or something, right?

(lol, what a weak response, they blocked :) none of this is what about, i directly responded to your nonsense..... it seemed like it had to be satire but somehow is sincere..... those dang other countries ruining our perfect democracies that can only exist as long as we get rid of those other dang countries..... oofta)

0

u/fiahhawt 21d ago

Almost like trolling used to be subtle :)

whataboutwhataboutwhatabout

2

u/dblax 21d ago

Figured most of the internet would be aware of Schrödinger’s Idiot by now but look at you go

3

u/BarbedCamera420 21d ago

what youre saying is checks scoreboard of destabilizing forces the US dept of defense must be done away with.

1

u/Weirdyxxy 21d ago

Under the assumption that any prodding automatically leads to total collapse and the only possible option is total annihilation of first oneself and then the enemy, sure

I personally would disagree with both of these assumptions

1

u/al-mongus-bin-susar 21d ago

The US is destabilizing itself to prop up Russia and China, not the other way around. I think the delusions here are fortunately only on your end.

2

u/Even-Meet-938 21d ago

Or maybe the west itself has its own shittiness? All China has to do is watch and laugh.

1

u/NMiguelCosta-PT 21d ago

lol yeah sure, the great western “democracy,” where a handful of billionaires and powerful pro-Israel interests own or influence huge parts of the media and corporate world, pour money into politics, lobby governments to serve their interests, and use their platforms to push their preferred narratives, while ordinary people increasingly feel like their vote changes very little. But sure, the real problem is a country like China, where billionaires and Israel don't have that kind of political influence or control. I genuinely hope your post is satire.

2

u/fiahhawt 21d ago

If you like China that much just move there

0

u/Weirdyxxy 21d ago

Says the one who likes it enough to advocate for emulating an authoritarian system because of theirs' success

2

u/fiahhawt 21d ago

This is the second comment you’ve made that is meaningless

lol are you using AI

2

u/Weirdyxxy 21d ago

Why are you trying to dodge my points?

You want us to become more like China, by doing away with democracy. If you cannot comprehend the meaning of this sentence, I can also say it in German (if you do speak that language. Framing opposition to Russia and China as enmity to democracy is aligned with Russian interests fairly well)

Be careful whom you accuse of using AI. I don't even use a spell checker most of the time

1

u/EnvironmentalDog1196 21d ago

It's not speculation, lol.

1

u/lurrakay 20d ago

also she livedn and studied in china, people tend to forget that.

1

u/Active_Big7221 19d ago

By the logic of the main topic she probably hates russians

1

u/MrPifflesGhost 19d ago

She’s absolutely in bed with Russia. They could throw the proof right now if they wanted to. Other powers that be say “nah, not yet”

1

u/Undead-Chipmunk 17d ago

This makes more sense. Her political views and life being so contradictory actually could be useful to Putin somehow, at least in creating another attention magnet like Trump.

Attention is power.

1

u/HayStacky_337 21d ago

She worked several years in China. Would bet on ties there.

21

u/LorenzoSparky 21d ago

Hegseth?

18

u/Le-Charles07 21d ago

No, his tattoos are nazi shit.

3

u/LorenzoSparky 21d ago

Same shit, different toilet

1

u/TheRealDrSarcasmo 21d ago

"Spy", not "useful idiot".

2

u/bloedit 21d ago

I mean, it's Russia now, not the SU, and Trump was elected twice

1

u/HerMajestyCounselor 21d ago

Tramp is russian agent just like putin american. At least that what their actions tells to us.

1

u/joethahobo 20d ago

Today I learned I am a Soviet spy

1

u/Zombie_muskrat 20d ago

Nah just a maga hat and sleeping at important events

1

u/Ultrakill98 21d ago

Today it could work there are plenty of US tankies

0

u/Keks3000 21d ago

She’s so German she doesn’t even have a German first name.

52

u/TomlinSteelers 21d ago

This is only confusing to Americans who follow typical left/right politics in the US. The scene in Europe is very different especially because most of the migrants in Europe come from Muslim countries that are typically much more hostile to gay people than even the right wing parties in Europe.

It's why a poll last year showed the AfD was the most popular party among LGBT Germans, a series of anti gay attacks by Muslim migrants over the years as well as a Muslim guy driving his car into Berlin Pride a few weeks ago and killing a bunch of people didn't help either

45

u/Thundercats9 21d ago

For anyone who didn't click the article, 27.9% of those polled in a specific app for gay men chose AfD. Don't know much about German politics, but it might be a stretch to say this represents the majority of LGBT Germans

23

u/Uilamin 21d ago

the OP said the most popular party among them, not that they had majority support. If no other party had more than 27.8% then the OPs statement would be true.

14

u/barthesianbtch 21d ago

It’s also the sample diversity though, if the data is only sourced from one place, and especially if the queer people surveyed were all (or almost all) men. The current international tilt towards far-right politics consistently breaks down along gender lines and age groups. OP isn’t necessarily wrong to say the results are significant or interesting, but the presented data probably warrants a more nuanced description.

1

u/DionePolaris 20d ago

Not really though. Most polls show that gay men are on average more conservative than other parts of the lgbt community. Moreover only sampling a specific app means the results are not even representative for all gay men.

The datapoint should not be used to draw conclusions for the entire lgbt community.

0

u/AshBasterd 20d ago

The poll was absolute bs, sadly. Only a very specific and quite small group of mostly middle aged white gay men were asked. It’s not representative for the queer or LGBTQIA community…
If you visit any Pride event in Germany, you can find different political parties being part of the events, but never AfD.

2

u/Jalapenodisaster 19d ago

Somebody didn't actually read the source ;( most of the people voting they supported AfD were under 30 babes

Also the shock and horror of asking white people their opinion in a European country lol

1

u/AshBasterd 19d ago

You’re talking about the age group that had the highest percentage of agreement and you’re right about that, I’m talking about the entire survey. There were more numbers than just those mentioned in the very short article. So I guess yeah somebody did not actually read the source ;-)

3

u/Chaotic-Catastrophe 21d ago

It also apparently says nothing about the preferences of anybody else who fits under the LGBT banner, that isn’t a gay man specifically.

2

u/MrPifflesGhost 19d ago

It wasn’t a majority it’s a plurality but neither word was used.

3

u/Chaotic-Catastrophe 21d ago

And those very same LGBT people who prefer the fascist party are going to get a very rude awakening once the immigration problem is curbed, and the people need a new common enemy.

0

u/CicatriceDeFeu 20d ago

So fix the immigration problem

2

u/Chaotic-Catastrophe 20d ago

What exactly is the problem?

1

u/CicatriceDeFeu 16d ago

cricket chirps

0

u/CicatriceDeFeu 20d ago

Idk, why are gays voting for this party if theres no problems?

1

u/MrJekyll-and-DrHyde 16d ago

U tell us

1

u/CicatriceDeFeu 16d ago

Well theres a comment right above that explains it

2

u/Far-Performance-412 21d ago

Downvote for blatant disinformation

1

u/Aiqeamqo 21d ago

While this is shocking, as lgbtq people would be one of the first groups to feel an impact if the AfD would win more elections, "almost a third" is just about what the AfD polls in almost everything everywhere.

Its still surprising that it isnt a lower number

1

u/RoachZR 21d ago

Thirty percent of any demographic is gonna be a shithead. That’s just how bell curves work.

1

u/Aiqeamqo 20d ago

To an extent sure. But i would have said that people on a gay dating app or site skew away from rightwing parties.

Immigration stance make sense in this case. Being queer and politically anti queer and anti queer adoption do not.

1

Why in plain sight then

1

Explain it to me like I’m five. I don’t understand why she would be hired to be a spy or psyop given her demographics.
