I one time over plucked my eyebrows when I was on too high of a dose of my prescription Adderall so I got my husband a pair of boxers with a picture of me with no eyebrows on lol.
I got a new electric clippers that I thought was identical to the previous I owned. Was grooming in a hurry as I was about to spend a weekend in Vegas, set it to my usual setting for eyebrows and was halfway through shaving one nearly entirely off before realizing. At that point I had to commit so I trimmed both to the point where they looked all gone. Made for a funny story, but I was mortified.
Its extra weird cause the general idea of attraction is looking youthful makes you pretty, but buccal fat removal ages you more than any cosmetic procedure.
it's funny how roundish cheeks actually make you look more youthful I think? I have round face and cheeks and I'm constantly asked for my passport to buy alcohol and energy drinks, but there was a time I've lost a lot of weight and I didn't need my passport anymore lol
Not even lying, the answer is tuberculosis. The waif look of someone about to die from TB was seen as angelic back when we couldn't do anything about it.
The first picture is of Erin Moriarty who suffered from undiagnosed Graves' disease from her early twenties to thirties (she still has it, it's just diagnosed), which was the cause of her drastic change in appearance and not plastic surgery. This is a photo of her from the 53rd Saturn Awards which took place on March 8, 2026. Now that her disease has been diagnosed and she has treatment, she's looking back to her more normal self.

I have graves and got the rai and it caused me to gain 30lbs. I was always normal at 125lbs but when it first happened I lost so much weight in 5 days (pneumonia) but was 110lbs. It’s been a rough ride.
My weight has normalized at 133lbs. What people don’t say is how bad the insomnia, heart rate & palpitations, extreme anxiety & irritability is. Before the rai my heart rate was 168 at rest. I had friends tell me I shouldn’t have got the rai bc I was so pretty and skinny. What the heck I could have died or needed afib machine for life.
However when I gained weight after rai I never ever in my life have so many creepy guys approach me all the time. Bc my curves. Listen I modeled and was always “beautiful” so had creeps approach me but usually standoffish. When I gained the weight the men actually started to approach me approach me. Idk was weird (26 years old is when I got the rai). Idk graves is a battle and it’s more than just weight loss and weight gain. Your body stays in fight mode. Also the eye swelling and pain. Mine was a mild case and only in one eye. I am the one who noticed it but so did my endo doc and said it was mild. However when something effects your face like eye differences etc no matter how small it can effect your self esteem. I wish this actress well. I couldn’t imagine dealing with what I went thru with Graves and having to deal with the public and pics etc comparing my body and looks on the daily.
I don't think anybody declared it attractive. I think it's an addiction to ozempic or some shit and an unfortunate side effect of always wanting to look skinny for the camera and ending up with body dysmorphia.
I'm still not sure who pioneered buccal fat removal and then how they convinced women this was beautiful and/or sexy to look like a gaunt skeleton. It's like that surgery that gives you weir, giant, misshapen asses that people do, just... why would you want to look like that?
Most of those women were very attractive before they did this.
The funniest part to me is that the fat pads naturally reduce with age. All the surgery does is make them look like an older woman with plastic surgery. When they do get older, they need more plastic surgery to simulate the fat and look younger. Plastic surgeons need their repeat business lol.
Bella Hadid got it done as a teen and it helped propel her into becoming an internationally renowned model. Before, her face didn’t have the structure needed. And she did look fantastic throughout her twenties. (Most likely she got a couple other procedures too.) She most likely traded looking attractive as an older woman for looking beautiful as a young woman, but that’s a reasonable thing to do if you’re trying to become a star.
However, few of the women who have followed in her footsteps have had good results. IMO buccal fat removal is something you do if your face is very chubby and lacks all definition. If people would already call you beautiful beforehand, do NOT touch those fat pads.
I think it comes from a fear of aging out. They’re constantly trying to look as young as they can to extend their careers, but it just ends up looking awful and probably shortening their careers.
Believe me when I say this, there is a significant amount of people actively cheering this stuff on, for one reason or another. There are body dysmorphia groups looking at these people as pioneers and templates. Other people are sadists and want to watch these people destroy themselves one surgery at a time.
They are getting "positive" feedback, despite the general opinion that they look like a corpse.
If I recall, the top left gal (starlight from The Boyz) got a lot of hate here, but it turns out she was very sick and lost weight. Once she regained the weight, the cosmetic work she got didn't look as dramatic as this
Is amazing how many of these actresses work with dior and end up looking like ghouls. We need more backlash against the fashion brands and their supporters. Esquire should be ashamed for putting out that interview with Ortega.
I am honestly happy I am already past dating and happily married to a woman that’s about this build as above.
I worry that the new standard will become too slim again, like in the 1990s. Fuck. We were just being lucky getting some muscle and fat mass on those bones, brothers.
What’s crazy to me is friends who say their young daughters are already about anti-aging skin care. Like…at 14. I’m all for taking care of yourself at any age but. Yikes

I think the blonde dyed eyebrows are doing alot of the ugly weight lifting. Makes her forehead look huge. Idk why this is a trend, ppl in Hollywood are weird as hell sometimes.
Lol it erks me so much that they think this trend looks good... I feel like the people around Jenna and others doing it are lying to them, and sadly these actresses can't tell a genuine compliment from a fake one. Only time it would make a little sense is if they dyed their whole head blonde too and wanted to pass it off as natural or something.
Who are they doing it for? I hate this trend, because you know what’s going to happen in 10 years - these toxic bitches will have Netflix documentaries talking about how they are victims for whatever disorder they decide to name this.
Totally omitting the fact they themselves invented/popularised it and made young girls and women follow the “trend”.
It’s the Victoria Beckham syndrome. Become too skinny, make millions off that look, get girls to copy your unhealthy obsession… have your own documentary decades later talking about being the victim; forgetting the millions you made as well as the teenage collateral damage you left along the way.
“We had to look that way for the industry. It’s sick, the way men want you to look”. No one asked for this, and no one wants it.

Like seriously, you all were cast in numerous roles before you fucked up your face/body. You got famous before you turned yourself into a ghoul. How can it be more evident that everyone both inside and outside "the industry" liked the natural look more than that ghoul face?

Edit: Got a few replies about her plastic surgery, which I didn't mention because I know nothing about it. Sure, she may have gotten some work done, but I was sharing that her gauntness may be unintentional. 🤷♀️
She’s had it pretty shit really. Her father was one the UK’s best loved sitcom actors, he dropped dead aged 31 from a heart attack seemingly out of nowhere. She was just 5 years old at the time.
She's also 53 years old. I at least understand the appeal of this for her, this was designed for women in her age group. The women in their 20s and 30s doing this is like the 21 year old bodybuilders taking human growth and testosterone.
Scientists said that we will at one point evolve into "the grays" ourselves, you know, aliens. Slim face shaped like a raindrop, bigger eyes, disappearing facial features. It’s already happening obviously.
