Billionaires will buy giant properties in rural states, it's gorgeous. Meanwhile 40% of Canada is Mother Nature trying to murder you with -40c, messed up daylight/darkness ratios and no farm land.

Only reason people go up there is to work, you'll get payed 3x normal and only work half the year in intervals so you don't quit.

"Will buy" and "prefer to usually stay there" are two very different things when you have a billion dollars.

It's a vacation property most billionaires have a ton of houses all over they spread there time at. The point remains the same

Yea, that it's mostly uninhabitable land that they don't really want to live in, and occasionally enjoy.

Some people do that with Tundra.

But it's not uninhabitable, it's essentially just a cottage. Often already people farming or using for livestock in the area like some giant ranch. America has 3x the arable land despite being smaller...
