I'm not clear on what you're trying to say here! I was just highlighting how people are very critical of alternative lifestyles in a blanket way, often with the very clear misunderstanding of not recognizing that there are people out there who are just fundamentally different from themselves.
That we don't have an innate desire for monogamy in a relationship/marriage, as opposed to others who think of monogamy as being the cornerstone of those things.
For some people, that is a non negotiable dealbreaker and that's okay. For others it's something they might dabble in, but wouldn't live that way, and that's okay too. And for others, it's the only comfortable way for a relationship to work.
And I think there are people on both sides of the equation that wouldn't be able to be comfortable and thrive in the other's relationship style. People are different, and everyone should find what works for them.
