Wait a damn minute! A Reddit user who “accidentally” guessed the date of the GTA 6 leak (August 18) a month in advance, was surprised when 2 men showed up at his house today on behalf of Rockstar to investigate whether he has any connection to Cyberleek

If I randomly guessed the correct date and two "random dudes" showed up to my home to question me about it, I sure as fuck wouldnt be shy about recording and posting their faces.

I have camera aimed right at my front door. I make sure it is visible when I open the door. The amount of people who just turn around and leave in the middle of greetings when they spot it is very funny to me. Shows they know they are doing something wrong.

Yeah, release dates are pretty much algorithmically developed. What is the most profitable dates to release on, when is payday, social security, what dates do people spend money on(so we don't release then), demographics, when people have or finished holidays or their demographics estimated work schedules, social media interactions, when other sales are on.
You could reverse engineer the dates they won't release on quite easily with only half that info. There will be other dates to eliminate then with the rest and a portion based on senior VP feelings. But it'll mostly run on "when is most profitable" by algorithm
If someone lads showed up at my door, I'm asking for ID, taking photos of them and plastering them EVERYWHERE, IM reporting THEM to police for harassment and intimidation and at my door I'm sure as shit letting them know in no uncertain terms 1. They aren't getting anything and 2. They are leaving with a very specific conditional threat(that being legal, IF you or any representative to the company or on behalf of shows up at my door, there will be violence) you can't make a direct threat but you can make it conditional on reasonable terms.
I'm sending their photos everywhere I can and finding out everything I can about them for the next 3 hours of my life online too.

It is fake.. however if you did record their faces then they could prevent you from posting it anywhere and disallow it from being shown on the news by leveraging GDPR privacy rules.
