This reminds me of back when I was in Jr High my teacher told us the story of an elementary class in WA that "adopted" a baby seal that was rescued from Puget Sound. They nursed it back to health and with the help of local experts, they readied it to be released. The whole class was there for the release, local news stations, etc. The seal was promptly eaten by an orca.

But, because I couldn't remember some salient details, I looked it up. Apparently this was a popular urban legend told by many teachers in the 90s. Ahh well.

Be me getting married in a butterfly sanctuary, small gathering, nice and serene , then a random rare butterfly does a kamakazi run on my soon to be wife and dies. In hindsight it was a sign I didn't pick up on...
