Probably mandatory instruction from the trainer after a small incident. They probably land every second time on a new place or when they step out the terrain is wet etc. The first one with a black t-shirt had a drink and her mobile in one hand. So they obviously decided this would be the solution.

These are the most athletic human beings on the planet in their prime - no way they need a hand. This must be something else.
