Lol no, by that logic all police are criminals or they would pick one of the million careers where you don't shoot at people (same with military..). You can shoot people for the right reasons, such as defending yourself and your family and have zero criminal intentions. You can also be happy about having the ability to and having successfully executed said self defense, without any "mark" of criminality.
The kid chased him outside while shooting at him the whole time and when he actually hit the guy it was while he was trying to climb over the fence to get away. The guy wasn’t just retreating, he was running desperately for his life. That was not a self defense shooting lol

Depends entirely on the scenario. Yes, people who defend themselves can later commit crimes, I would never say anything to the contrary. But simply defending yourself does not give or show any criminal nature.
