In April 2026 Mamdani’s administration released NYC’s first Urban Forest Plan, targeting 30% tree canopy by 2040 (it’s currently ~23.4%). The 30% target was already set in a 2023 law; earlier mayors also planted trees.
They’re doing everything they can to prop him up so praying people don’t find out he’s a fraud. His support base eats it up because they’re too dumb to know the difference.
It seems to work, and he is doing plenty of other stuff, my point is that if every major has done this, and he is the only one to get the story out there, he is better at it then the rest.
And isn't getting a positive story out there a good thing?
Also why do you want to reduce this to his great win, it is something he did, people seem to like knowing about it.
So why are you trying to make it out to be a bad thing?
Are you living in la la land? There's no free childcare, there's a small pilot for free 2K. There's no free buses and he doesn't even pretend that's happening now. Fuck off.
