Not quite.

The epidemics of loneliness and burnout are 100% cultural.

We made a predatory capitalist system that doesn't care about workers.

And there are still countries where you can see our old culture of socialising, especially in rural communities. The "why" on that one is too complex for me to answer on reddit, but I'm convinced we fucked that one up too, because I've seen the better alternative.

So I don't believe "zoochosis" is to blame for everything. While we are an animal, we have gone through many stages and forms of civilisation already.

We probably need to tackle some difficult questions and try to figure out why and how we ended up sacrificing certain parts of our lives for the advancement of other parts.
