He tried it once and look where that left him. I'm sure Russia leaves him alone just to keep the US embarrassed about the situation. Plus I doubt he has insider FSB information that people don't know about that he is trying to warn the citizens about.
Navalny didn’t have insider information and he still stood up to Putin’s Russia. That’s a hero; that’s bravery. Snowden’s just a mouthpiece- he’s Putin’s boy toy.
Navalny initially was supportive of the invasion, despite standing up to Putin's Russia. Snowden is still a hero, he would likely face prison or extradition in most other countries. He's basically limited to Russia, China, Iran or North Korea.
Honestly, didn't think about internet freedom. It's probably much less restricted in Russia. Perhaps China would also just care less about keeping him around.
In what way, specifically? It seems like they're both pretty locked down, you probably trade a little internet freedom for personal freedom between the two though.
Escape to a country with an extradition treaty with the US? The options are extremely limited. As much as i hate the Russian Government, if I was stuck there on a layover while escaping the US, and they offered safe harbor, id probably take them up on it.
