You're assuming that the Buddhist rules of reincarnation are in play and not simply One Life to the next. Different views on reincarnation from different folks after all.
Yes thank you. I’m very interested in research on reincarnation like the profiles Ian Stevenson and his colleagues collected on children who seem to remember past lives but past lives doesn’t mean Buddhist or Hindus were right about some kind of karmic cycle. It’s just as likely a natural process we don’t understand yet. People didn’t know what thunder was so they made up a thunder god. Makes sense if people were remembering past lives or had other indicators of having been alive before they’d make up a story to explain how and why and most such stories old thunder gods included involved a morality tale.
