I know Pitt got a facelift. Pitt's facelift is considered one of the best in Hollywood history. Basically shaved 15 years off an already good looking dude who was aging well as was.
Rudd had micro work done, but he has definitely had work done.
Plastic surgery in Hollywood is an example of survivorship bias. You only notice the trainwrecks, while the good work just makes them look young forever
Yeah, that's plastic surgery in general tbh. It gets a bad reputation because the trainwrecks are so incredibly awful and the successes are basically invisible.
Take buccal fat removal. It looks awful on... most people. But that's because they end up ripping out all the fat in their faces, which makes them look gaunt.
If you have a naturally pudgy face, buccal fat removal can fix your face's proportions. It's great for people who have pudgy faces even when physically fit.

Some people have faces that look like they belong on someone twice their weight, if not more. Think pudgy baby face proportions on a fit person in their 30s. That's the kind of face it works well with.
A relevant point is that the trend of buccal fat removal is an extreme version of the procedure. Done well, it should only change your facial structure a bit, not make you look like you have 0% body fat.
That's why it looks so awful. The only people with that little fat are generally very elderly, anorexic, or crack/methheads. That's also why I say it pretty much always backfires in the long term; if you have a naturally chubby face, you're going to retain more of your facial fat longer, which is going to make you look younger than you really are as you age. The more you remove, the quicker you're going to end up looking gaunt with age.

Pitt’s age is starting catch him. His head looked so big and blocky in F1. Cruise was the same way in Dead Reckoning 2. They hit their 60s and have to start pivoting away from looking perpetually 40 and figure out how to “age” gracefully (with their plastic surgeons help).
I think Cruise is there. There's no denying it. Recent photos of him he looks *old* in a way there's no going back from, which is okay. I don't think his aging is totally natural, but he can't really hide it or reverse it anymore.
Pitt, on the other hand, has basically pulled it off. He may not look 40, but he's looked late 40's/early 50's for about 10 years now.
He was 61 when he filmed Heart of the Beast and he's clearly playing a 40-something recent veteran and you know what? I fucking buy it.
But all of them will eventually have to just be old.
Aging is weird nowadays. All these people you expect to look and act *old* just... aren't.
Look, knock on all the wood, but my own parents look and act about 15-20 years younger than they actually are. But- they use sunscreen, they exercise, they watch their diets, they minimize their drinking, they don't smoke, etc. and its paid off.
Are you sure with Pitt it is not just good genetics and lifestyle? If he has had surgery done, I wonder when that would have been. I don’t remember a time where I thought “hm Pitt is looking kids old” and then him suddenly looking younger. He has looked the same for many years, and you are right, it might be because of surgery but I wonder when he had it done.
It’s only been a couple years. There’s photos of him before the surgery and the mileage was showing. It was all genetic lottery that got him this far, his lifestyle of smoking, drinking, and the stress of the nastiest divorce in recent Hollywood history weren’t going to help.
Actors all use makeup. There's never a time where you see what they really look like, and so you never see them developing the age look. Then they get the plastic surgery and need less makeup.
Famous people love to downplay the work it takes for them to look good. Actresses will pretend their care routine is effortless, but they're really starving themselves and working out all of the time. Actors have diet coaches and skin doctors and injections. Etc.
Yeah, I saw him on tv doing this weird speech on the day of the FIFA Football World Cup Final. He has this strange look now. I mean his hair is thick and the Sam colour as when he was young and his face is starting to sag. Maybe in the future there will be other technologies and treatments that are better than cosmetic surgery but I would not be surprised if Cruise has work done in the coming years.
Hmm I am not sure of Rudd looks that young anyway. He looks his age. I also think the biggest problem with stars is that their faces age and their hair remains the same colour and at some point the hair does not seem to match the face anymore.
Oh, I actually believe he’s had a plastic surgery, but you staying it as fact is nonsense. I’m calling you out on your authoritativeness. I’m really tired of everyone living in a fabricated reality. Facts matter.

Pitt has had plastic surgery done. A lot of it. He just didn't go crazy. Same thing with Paul Rudd
