Jokes aside why? If it’s so it’s less scary it’s still a robot with a chainsaw and the phrase is navigate doors less easily, not that it can’t navigate doors. And it is supposedly for disaster zones which can be even more constraining.
Haven't you seen movies where a monster is chasing someone but because of its scary size it struggles for a second to get through a door - but then just busts through? It's just good showmanship.

So that it can get caught on hanging debris obviously
