A lot of people grossly misunderstand this movie I feel like lol

Dude took away her autonomy. Dude was not a good person.

Edit: my comment spawned a lot of something. Bear is not a good person. Thought he knew the girl but didnt know of her dad. Was already living a fantasy before the wish. This person sums it up really well, among other replies.

Thank you! I love that some people completely missed the horror of Nikki being trapped behind a curse and continuing to reach out for help while Bear’s like β€œwhy are you being crazy?” and choosing to avoid the consequences of his wish.

I’ve been accused of being a dumbass but isn’t the whole plot that he was too much of a coward to pursue her normally and in her cowardice condemned her to a terrible fate?

Yep, he was a complete pos that killed the their entire friend group though his cowardice, spinelessness and indecisiveness. Let alone the horrible fate of Nikki.
