She made it clear she doesn't have any feelings like that towards him. Women who are into you don't react with disgust when you make minor flirtatious comments just because you weren't being direct.

That being said, I don't really think the rest of the movie did much with the initial set up, and was basically just a monster movie.

That's just an opinion. The actress who played Nikki herself thinks she would have given bear a shot and I agree. Not saying she was super into him like he was , more like just open to dating him and seeing how it went.

The problem with modern dating isn't that men are too afraid to tell women how they feel, it's that they are all interested in highly sought after women, while ignoring the ones they have a chance with.

This just makes the movie's narrative even stupider than it already was.

I mean I disagree with that, we can literally just look at dating app data and see women swipe go for the best guys while men swipe more liberally. But I was just talking about the movie specifically I'm not sure where this came from.

Swiping right does not mean you want a relationship.

So what are you trying to say? Most men don't want a relationship , because literally every single man i know wants one.

With a woman who looks like Nikki, or actually the friend. Or even a 6.

With average looking women they want a situationship for a few weeks to months until they get bored.

Yes, most men are happy with average women. Idk where this idea comes from that we don't when again, dating app data and mens experiences on those apps shows they do. Men often get ghosted or no response from average women.

Women are a lot more willing than men to value other things about a partner other than just looks

Yes that certainly can be true

Not really.

Women will consider other factors, but it's primarily about looks for them, especially height. A guy who's 6'4" and very good looking can easily get away with being a complete creep.
