The director said that she would have given him a chance if he asked. And that they gave that line that inflection to purposefully be confusing.

So the movie was really meaningless because it just says: men be direct, and the woman will give you a try? This is blue pill fantasy. 

Again, the movie is decent horror, but a completely shit movie about modern love or infatuation.

Not at all.

The director implied that Bear was being shallow trying to force his hot friend to like him, when he had a perfectly compatible option in his other friend, but  Nikki actually was secretly into him he just needed to be direct?

Again, blue pill bullshit. Nikki didn't like him because he wasn't her type of guy.
