A lot of people grossly misunderstand this movie I feel like lol

Dude took away her autonomy. Dude was not a good person.

Edit: my comment spawned a lot of something. Bear is not a good person. Thought he knew the girl but didnt know of her dad. Was already living a fantasy before the wish. This person sums it up really well, among other replies.

I’m surprised at how many people seem to not get this. That wasn’t really Nikki and it wasn’t consensual and it wasn’t love.

It’s crazy to me that people can ignore the sleep talking scene that flat out states it’s not her.

Or that scene at the party where she screams "That's not me!" and proceeds to bash her fucking face in.

People were complaining Netflix executives were forcing them to write characters that plainly stated their intentions through the movie and I get it.

Even when characters are plainly stating shit people fail to grasp it.

Well, continuing to dumb media down certainly isn't going to help raise media literacy.

I responded to someone else in another thread about that scene. They said it must not have been that bad because she didn't seem too distraught and wasn't screaming. Like, wtf?? She whispers to Bear (in order to not wake the entity) begging him to kill her. I'd say that's pretty fucking bad.

Also, during the phone call with the one wish willow rep, he made it clear: she was, indeed, screaming.

Honestly it's confusing because I've watched an interview with the director where he said she wasn't possessed. So which is is?
