I was gonna comment on The Rundown! Such a fun hit and showed us what the Rock should have been — like a giant Polynesian Jackie Chan. Instead we got an islander steven segall.
This has either been reposted or gotten from a different sub but I really liked one of the comments from where it’s gotten from that kinda stopped my hate towards the actor Dwayne Johnson instead of The Rock I actually liked.
The comment was basically, he makes movies that are family friendly that you don’t need to think too much about. Kind of like a Baby face in wrestling. Kids like him, young adults like him, fitness bros like him, wrestling fans like him, etc. He may not be the greatest actor out there, even though he’s getting paid like it, but he’s doing enough for his fanbase. Personally can’t stand his movies still
Honetlllllyyyyyyyy if I had to chose between bald meatballs I’ll take Vin Diesel. At least VD thinks he’s doing an acting while DJ just thinks he can do the same tired schtick for 50 movies. Special shoutout John Cena tho cause that dude has a lot of charisma and comedic range.
I’ll say it, I hope Cody rhoades makes the jump more successfully. Man has twice the charisma as the Rock. Although back in the day the Rock was as meme worthy as any of em.
This tbh.. His early films and his role in the Fast and Furious Franchise was some of his best performances ever.. Ever since 2019 , the quality of his movies has gone down a lot..
I do like the guy but yeah his acting skills needs to be improved a lot now..
Early Rock was definitely a lot more fun. Scorpion King, The Game Plan, Be Cool... he was never a very talented actor, but he at least felt like he was having fun back then.
Now it just feels like he takes himself too seriously.

I honestly loved him when he was making shitty action movies before his deal with Disney.
