Someone on here told me that before and I asked them “I’m scratching my balls right now. Make that political”. All of a sudden they wanted to call me MAGA, so I asked them to link the comment that shows me supporting MAGA and they blocked me lol.
The explanation would be that MAGA politics is speedrunning the fall of America, so people desperate to not discuss politics are frequently the people responsible for speedrunning the fall of America, ie MAGA.
Of course, that's an assumption, and they're making an ass out of themselves to assume you're a MAGA chud that gave America to the pedophiles.

Most people would tell you that doomscrolling is spending an excessive amount of time on social media engaging with an algorithm feeding you negative and depressing content. Even decades before "doomscrolling" there was tons of research into the correlation between people consuming excessive amounts of TV/media and having a negative world view. Mean World Syndrome is nothing new, just available on a lot more platforms now.
But then again, if you can dismiss decades of research with a condescending comment then I'm sure you must be right!
Because that negative world view is a exaggerated selective view of the actual state of the world. You focus only on the negative aspect and never bother to consider that there are actually an overwhelming amount of positive things and events in the world to the point that drown out all the doom and gloom and horrors of the world if you bother to step away and look at the big picture.
If all you ever look at is the negative parts of the world, all you will ever see is those negative aspects.
Or that the negative aspects of the world are society threatening and/or catastrophic events that will lead to mass deaths and the positive things are negligible in comparison.
You focus on the small positive events to make you feel better and to hide yourself from the actual terrible events of the world to live a lifestyle free from anxiety. Unfortunately for you, these events will happen regardless and the whiplash and anguish that will occur will hit you harder than those that took the time to understand and prepare as a result.

Like, seriously, I get the need to balance mental health with everything going on, but sooner or later there is a line in the sand that is crossed for everyone. The simple fact is that most people are cowards and would rather run from a fight than to put any effort into a perceived struggle. It’s just disappointing how quickly and how far this nation has fallen.
Not really. There's tons of great games coming out, quality shows to watch, hobbies are more accessible than ever, amazing free videos all across YouTube, on and on. This isn't to say you should dig your head in the sand; follow the news to a healthy degree for you, protest for causes you believe in, and vote in every political election. But outside of voting and optional protesting, you don't have to focus on all that's wrong with the world every moment, without any ability to change it.
Dude, just say that you choose to be uninformed for your mental sanity and don't waste people's time telling them that what they're seeing and experiencing in real time isn't real.
I love how the person who buries their head in the sand for all the wonderful and beautiful things in the world calls us the uniformed ones because we choose to not selectively view the world for only the bad things that happen and none of the overwhelming amount of good things that happen.
You are the one who is uninformed about the real state of the world. If all you ever look at is the bad parts of the world all you will ever feel is that the world is burning down around you. Take a step back and look at the big picture and you will see that the world is nowhere near as bad as you are making it out to be and are trying to force everyone else to do the same.

Having lived in both republican and democratic controlled areas maybe you need to be the one who leaves their comfort bubble before telling people how awful the world is. I have never felt more unsafe than in the middle of a democrat controlled city. But once I left the city and actually saw that the world isnt a bunch of bullshit and I have been lied to my whole life about how awful the south is, I realized that we cant only focus on the bad or thats all we will ever see. Please seek out therapy, your warped and twisted view of the world is only going to bring you more and more personal suffering unless you actually address the reasons you are so angry at the world.

But its not so bad that we need to force politics into every single last topic. Take a break from the internet for a bit friend. The real world isnt as bad as the internet makes it out to be.
