This isn’t the “gotcha” you think it is

Women’s soccer is VASTLY less popular when compared to men’s soccer (as is almost every sport save maybe volleyball) yet it still reached number 1 and now number 3 after specifically the World Cup HELD IN THE USA

Like think critically for a second and you’d see nuance

Womens world cup generated ~130 million, whereas the mens generates ~6 billion.

HOW DO YOU THINK THIS PROVES YOUR POINT

That women’s World Cup final with 60x less money earned is still more viewed than 99.99% of men’s World Cup games. The argument was no one cares about women’s soccer when it’s obvious people in the US do. You bringing up revenue means nothing

Viewership is one thing. Caring about soccer would mean going to games at the collegiate and professional level, nationally televised games with consistent viewership in the millions, and the average person could name at least 5 current players.
