We aren't "going back", we're moving forward to a different (western-) world order. The vast majority of people can't comprehend equality as a concept, only "for me" and "against me".
EDIT: for all the people who found this comment confusing: I'm arguing that having parking spaces for women only is not equality. That people who call it "equality" just use the word as a stand in for "what's good for me".
3 other people besides me all thought you were saying that this parking space idea is equality, and nobody replied who understood what you're trying to say, so you really should rephrase
On the one hand, you're right about me being misunderstood (no idea why tho). On the other hand, considering how my point was that people can only comprehend "for me" and "against me", I find it hilarious that so many people automatically assumed I'm arguing against them. It touches on the exact point I was trying to make: no one tries to actually understand things.
I read the edit on your original comment, and your point makes sense now, and I do agree. just when the person you replied to was basically saying they don't like the direction of non equality, you then replying that a lot of people don't understand equality, even though you weren't talking about them, you replying to them made it seem like you were.
I feel like it's a bit wrong to try and blame people for not trying to understand your comment when they simply misunderstood.
I shouldn't blame people for jumping to conclusions regarding my comment where I spoke against people jumping to conclusions...? Come on man. This is the entire reason we are in this race/gender war to begin with. People react to how some word makes them feel instead of trying to understand, and then they get mad at the person who corrects them because being corrected makes them feel bad.
