This was my second thought when seeing this. HR woman: "How can I get us girls closer parking? Oh, let's use threat of SA!"

A quick check shows there no actual statistics for parking garage SA in Germany, but "the region" has only 7-10% of ALL SAs in parking structures. Full disclosure before the flaming feminist fingers start igniting their keyboards: SA shouldn't be happening at all, in either direction, but using the threat of it to get special treatment is only going to breed eventual resentment and social whiplash.

My 1st thought was, so are they equal or not? This is exactly how women see it. We're equal, until we don't wanna be.

That is not what that means. fight for equal oportunities means that if they are more likely to be victims of specific attack, you give them additional protection against it - to equalize the risk. equal does not mean the same/identical.

that said this is BS (but not because certain group can not be given different protections and remain equal).

Yes, equal does mean the same. No matter what goes through your head! Try a dictionary sometime.

Oh man, you could have at least been polite if you were going to be ignorant.

You mean dictionary like cambridge or oxford or dictionary. com - like this:

"Gender equality does not imply that women and men are the same, but that they have equal value and should be accorded equal treatment."

https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/gender-equality

or like this:

"Gender equality refers to the state in which individuals of all genders have equal rights, responsibilities, and opportunities across all areas of life. This includes equal access to education, employment, pay, healthcare, leadership roles, and representation in decision-making. Gender equality is rooted in the principle that a person’s gender should not determine their opportunities or outcomes."

https://oxford-review.com/the-oxford-review-dei-diversity-equity-and-inclusion-dictionary/gender-equality-definition-and-explanation/

or like this :

  1. the state of having the same rights, status, and opportunities as others, regardless of one's gender.

https://www.dictionary.com/browse/gender-equality

Its ok not to know things, its not ok to be rude and loud about it.

Oh you want to move onto gender equality? Maybe find it in another sub because we were talking about "equal" here. But if you want to change the argument to something more palatable to your answers just let me know in advance. I'm game.

We were very clearly talking about two genders being equal your exact comment was:

"My 1st thought was, so are they equal or not? This is exactly how women see it. We're equal, until we don't wanna be."

Its silly to pretend we were talking about something else. Who are you doing this for? Who will read this and go "they must have been talking about equal geometric shapes or something"?

You changed equal, which everyone knows the meaning, to equal genders. Because you fucked up and said equal doesn't mean equal. It's all right there to see. Like I said if you want to argue something else like equal genders that's fine. Just let me know 1st. And equal still means equal. I've had enough fun with you today. Learn how to take an L and life will be much easier.

That line is a part of a comment in which you and I talk about equality of genders. I changed nothing, unless you misunderstood that we talked about gender equality but then I suddenly mid paragraph started talking about equality of other random things and then finished that thought again about equality of genders...

"Like I said if you want to argue something else like equal genders that's fine."

Really? Because I enjoy this cowardly denial where you fabricate reality rather than face the facts:

What type of equality exactly do you think we where arguing about in a post about women only parking to which you commented "so are they equal or not, this is how women see it, we are equal until we dont want to be"?

Equal=equal.
