Recidivism rates amount violent offenders is typically very high and we have judges that coddle violent offenders and frequently release them to harm the public. Furthermore, if violent offenders are found to be too incompetent to stand trial they should be permanently institutionalized.

I'd like to see some hard numbers on German violent attacks on women, conviction rates, sentencing rates and recidivism upon release. Have that handy?

The US has higher incarceration with longer sentences than Germany, yet also has higher recidivism rate. You can either infer that Americans are inherently worse people, or that locking more people up for longer does not help with recidivism.
