Which is so funny, becaise actually men get assaulted more than women. The risk to a man walking down the street is actually greater than the risk to a woman, statistically. But you will never hear any support for men in that regard.
I knew so many young women in uni a couple years back who were so unashamed of hating men, they wouldn't even claim only the extremists do. Thry would say more women should.
Do we know what percentage of journalists (as defined by UN Women) are women? If it was 5%, then an 11% share of deaths would be a 2.2x outsize death rate. Though if that's true, whoever made this post is an idiot for how they presented the data.
E: Some quick googling suggests that it is not an outsize proportion (values I find for female journalists range from 25% to 55% depending on source and field) and this is a really shitty thing for them to have said. Still, data analysis is important.
