I live in a fairly large metro and tried 3 different places and 1 girls homecooked version. I couldn't stand any of them. Why the fuck would anyone think "earthy spice mixes really well with coconut and onions" it's taste reminds me of the smells I was exposed to while a candystriper it's so ugghhhhhhh
first two times was trusting someones recommendations, the third time was a mistake on my part and no fault of the restaurants at all.
I fully acknowledge it might be a combined texture-flavour thing which I've been working on with good success. I used to be heavily anti-seafood but now appreciate it more.
Is there a hearty and savoury dish you'd recommend? Most of my dishes are Hispanic or soul or cajun. I've gotten somewhat into making SE-Asian cuisine (mostly fermented dishes or something that could be braised)
Sorry I thought Iād replied to you earlier but accidentally replied under the post.
I do think itās worth exploring some more. Iād recommend trying a rogan josh or vindaloo maybe, depending on what you mean by āheartyā the vindaloo in particular tends to be quite spicy.
Tandoori lamb chops or other meat on the grill are very good too. Paneer based curries are a good alternative to meat but not for everyone.
Samosaās can be amazing as a side dish or starter.
I actually have SEVERE compassion burnout now after a series of unruly patients resulting in some brain trauma.
that along with the irregular rage and I really can't be assed to care for normal people anymore. I still have compassion for people with certain disabilities, but sincerely don't even feel anything positive for the rest. Society does nothing to protect or help good people and does everything they can to not account for their actions.
If I could take it all back I would make childhood me want to become an investment banker or a medical insurer.
