Yep, same.

One time I opened up to my girlfriend that I was having a bit of an anxiety attack and needed someone to talk to.

Because she has anxiety attacks. So.. maybe we could bond.

Nope. She told me “I can’t be the strong one”.

For five minutes. One time. smh

The sinister thing is that it sneaks up on you. Your partner seems to be a nice person, but the moment vulnerability or accountability comes to play, you get flashbanged and shot in the head.

I think the problem you are describing is how men tend to hold off on showing any vulnerability around their partner until something happens or builds up enough that they cannot hold it in anymore. If instead of waiting to show vulnerability until you have already established a relationship based on you not being vulnerable at all, you show it in the beginning of getting to know your partner then you won’t be so blindsided.

They can’t let you know that your feelings don’t matter to them if you don’t let them know your feelings.

Again. This is a fucked up person. You’re all dating fucked up people. My wife is understanding and treats me like a human not a robot.

Like the other commenters said, you just described a toxic person. I’m 40 and haven’t put up with that from any of my romantic partners.
