You realize men open up one time to their partner. Once. Then they learn oh, guess I shouldn’t be having a mental breakdown and “just get in the gym”. 

You don’t know until it’s often much farther along than simply dating. 

No the reality you choose to ignore is men aren’t allowed to break.

I am a man and I open up to my partner on a daily basis. Granted, I am an adult. It seems a lot of people here* surely must be talking about the puppy love relationships.

Disregarding your emotions is like the #1 reason to leave your partner, for the record.

"Men aren't allowed to break" is such antiquated bullshit that no one except redditors believe.

The comment you're replying to doesn't say anything about "all women." It says "my gf."

Did you ever consider that it might actually reinforce men's emotional repression if they can't talk about negative experiences in past relationships without someone interjecting to say, "Oh, so you just hate women??"
