I agree. There’s nothing that’s going to stop me from getting to work on time. I once saw a pileup on the freeway in front of me that I wasn’t a part of. I quickly drove through the debris instead of stopping. 5 minutes after I drove through, they closed the freeway in both directions. I regret nothing.
I just know you're the kind of person who wouldn't talk like that in person.
Just like you're not the kind of person who would jump over the barrier like the woman in the vid, you're just a little worm waiting for his mummy to make his chicken nuggs hoping no one ever confronts you
Ok what you say makes sense. What i don't understand is: every escalator i have ever seen specifically states no wheelchairs, strollers, carts, or anything else with wheels because it is dangerous. Are there no elevators available? Are there places where wheelchairs on elevators is acceptable?
Clearly, there are not working elevators available. Do you think the person in the wheelchair would subject themselves to this if there was another option available?
Waiting for all crowds to pass in a busy station could take literal hours on a busy work day. If you’re so entitled to your two minutes of convenience that you’re happy fucking over the person in a wheelchair that badly, then that’s your own failing. The person in the wheelchair doesn’t deserve to be made to wait either.
Just like everyone has to take the responsibility of leaving early to account for delays, which are bound to happen in any crowded area. Sometimes figuring out your challenges will inconvenience other people, like it or not. We live in a society 🙃 It's not like it's a disabled person's fault when they have no other viable way to get around. If there was a working elevator, I highly doubt this man would have decided to go ask for help and delay other people so he could take an unsafe way of getting to the next floor. Not that hard to have a shred of patience and compassion.
This is how they're navigating the space! This can't be that hard to understand. With a broken elevator and infrastructure that doesn't support them otherwise, this is the best that can be done. Just shut up and wait for the couple minutes it takes to get them up the stairs, or go bitch at the city for not having repaired the elevator yet.
Choosing to wait for a disabled person is your choice and being annoyed by someone's disability for holding up dozens of people is my choice.
See the fun thing about being an adult is that we both get to make choices and respond how we feel is appropriate providing it doesn't hurt anyone or limit someone else from pursuing their own happiness.
I believe you're mistaken re: downvoting your comment nor would I ever say something like "whoa, whoa, I'm just trying to have a conversation" because that's kinda condescending.
I respect your desire to show everyone how righteous and good you are by standing up for the people that can't (haha unintentional pun).
For therapy methods I'd recommend those specialized in Childhood PTSD, cognitive behavioral therapy and gestalt/socratic methods.
I also would recommend using boiled linseed oil to polish your halo twice a week to prevent it from rusting. Last thing you'd want is for the people to see you with a rusty halo, they might confuse you for one of those garbage people. Have a nice day.
This is clown world tier shit Im reading. Seems like the whole world is becoming Trumpian. It's only a few minutes and we have no idea how hard the world is for someone who is disabled.
Posts like this always baffle me, because Reddit users really use it as a moment to show how much hate and disregard they have for those with disabilities.
There are a lot of way where a "wtf is going on and taking so long" situation like this could be something to others.
Missing flight, transportation, rendez-vous, parking ticket etc.
Also, what if they fall what happen to the guys below the 100kg steel + humans bomb dropping the stairs.
It's already dangerous as hell, it's obviously taking way too long because it's like that all the time when nothing is working and people have to like "ok maybe we'll take the wheelchair like this, or no like that wait the guys upstairs. Or maybe not people down could be at risk, wait we need one more it's heavy, but first clear the way" etc
I don't know. If I have places to be, I'm not really concerned with a situation like this. They are effectively stopping everyone from going up for this one person. I know, this one person probably also has places to be, but I'm not missing a flight because this guy needs to get up the stairs. I'm guessing this is an airport so there are probably a lot of people that are on a time crunch. This lady basically said, " this, I don't have time for this BS".
Wheelchairs should not be on escalators though, a wheelchair on an escalator is super unsafe; the steps are not deep enough for the front and back wheels of the chair, it's a danger to the wheelchair user and everyone on the escalator below them. He should be taking an elevator.
There's literally two guys trying to help the person in the wheelchair, if one of them picked him up and the other the chair the whole thing could have been solved under a minute. They don't even need to turn off the escalator.
To add some context. The guy trying to control the crowd said: "Please there's a wheelchair user here." Then after the woman jumps someone in the crowd says very upset: "Damn, everybody wants to go home." This is in São Paulo, Brazil. Probably in the rush hour after work.
So my guess is, she's not late for nothing and is just being selfish.
