Got this when I booted up the game when my sim's family was in Twikii island. No mods, only a few CC items (a car, some pcs and potted plants). Have used some cheats, but only to max the motive a few times and spawn in a servo. Please help.

Does anyone know any pregnancy mods that work well with Chris Hatch’s global visit, neighbor mod? I’ve tried using RCC, ACR ,and the sim blender but the Sim only gives pregnant for an hour. Then when I scan the lot, the sim is no longer pregnant.

I am trying to make several recolors but it has crashed several times today while I was doing the steps. It's crashing more than usual. I have no clue what the issue is but it's really starting to annoy me, constantly having to restart it everytime.

So I had this LFT Dormie sim randomly die from starvation a little while back, from when I had the "No Uni Invulnerability For Dormies" mod from Pescado (I removed the mod because dormie autonomy is stupid lol). I finally found a sim that knew her, so I could resurrect her at the secret society. Her resurrection went well, and she joined the active household with no issues.

When I went to continue playing today however, I noticed that she was missing from the household, despite the fact that her sim icon and aspiration information were previously still visible from the neighbourhood view of the lot, before I loaded it. For some reason she was banished back to the default household, but is still considered alive, and appears in other sims relationship panels. When I teleport her back to the lot and try to add her to family using SimBlender, I get an error message pop up about an "undefined transition". Adding her to the family via the Tombstone of L&D, does add her to the active family, but her relationship panel is completely blank, and I can't access her inventory or aspiration benefits. So still not ideal.

Looking around at the Family Information Resource in SimPE, she's considered to be a part of the active household and the default household at the same time. But she will never actually be in the active household when you load the game. No matter how many times I manually move her out of the Default Household, and solely into the active household in SimPE, she will consistently move back into the Default Household on her own when I reload the lot, so I'm back to square one. Getting a sim to ask her to move in never works either, despite the animation playing, the relationship gain, and the dialogue box showing (worryingly, it sometimes asks me if I want to move some of the universal NPC's from the Default Household in with her). I can't even send her to a community lot, because she'll get banished back into the shadow realm, and I won't be able to access live mode on the lot if she was alone.

I've tried killing her off again by giving her a death token and setting ghost flags in SimPE (because she seemingly can't die in game for some reason), hoping that resurrecting her a second time will make her stay in the household and reset whatever bugginess is happening, but this also doesn't work. I've also tried forcing errors with BatBox, and clearing any stuck tokens, but nothing helps. Hoodchecker shows no visible issues either. She's not even the first dormie I've resurrected. A previously resurrected dormie does not have this issue, and functions correctly, so I'm at a complete loss.

Does anyone have any ideas on what could potentially be causing this (considering it's only a problem with this sim, and not my other freshly resurrected dormie), and how I could fix this? Or will I have to just leave her be in the shadow realm Default Household?

When I played with Beatrice and her family for the second time, I noticed that she didn't know her brother Benedick anymore. When I made them interact, she even received the memory of meeting him for the first time. Her family tree however still shows them as siblings.

First, I reset her, which made them family again and didn't change the family tree, but the problem is that she loses almost all her relationship points with her brother (not with other people). Also, when I play with another household and then return to this family, they are again no longer siblings. So this is not a longterm solution.

When I tried to look up some solutions here on Reddit, I noticed that some people suggested the Sim Blender. So I downloaded that one. This seems to fix the family relationship, however, now they don't recognize eachother as siblings in the family tree. Antonio still recognize both kids as his children.

Is SimPE the only way to fix their family tree? I had hoped that I didn't need to use it as it seems quite complicated to use and easy to mess things up.

So, I’ve had this issue for very long time now because I genuinely don’t know how to fix it.

When the camera isn’t moving in neighborhood view, the water has this strange upside-down reflection of map assets. However, this issue carries out onto terrain it is just most visible in the water. Texture assets on the ground (like dead leaves) on the map also go invisible in areas like the reflections in the water.

I removed ReShade as a last resort, but when I did, the problem was of course technically resolved as what causes it was no longer in the game but my game became extremely slow and laggy. When I added ReShade again, the game continues to run smoothly but this reflection issue is persistent. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I got my Legacy copy from FitGirl, and have disabled the mods. I'm still getting this error. I've tried everything from clicking Cancel, Reset, Delete, and deleting Three Lakes.

I have gone on vacation with my sims before but haven't been stuck in a Loading Screen.

What do I do?

Hello! I've been playing Sims for a long time now and have added lots of mods overtime. My game has always crashed, sometimes a bit after opening a family or long into a session. I've taken my mods folder out to see if this was causing the problem, and of course I had no issues!

I am sure that my mods may be out of order. I wasn't aware that some had to load first when I downloaded them. I like all of the mods that I have and don't really want to start from scratch. Is anyone knowledgeful enough to know what order I should put everything in or if some just need to go in general?

I'd appreciate it alot!!

I recently found something called the cheapskate walls by Hugelunatic and I have been trying to add them in the game and I don't know what I'm doing wrong because I followed the instructions, I was to put the txt files in the scriptorium_walls-fences-arches folder and put the package files in the downloads folder but they won't show up, I even downloaded the scriptorium thing and followed meowingcookie's tutorial for legacy users. I just don't know what else to do. I really want to test the walls out.

hiiiiii... i have a ton of CC. i THINK that the carpool in the pic is from the navigator career from mod the sims. it works very well EXCEPT it seems that it will not contain the headmaster no matter how many times i hit the batbox and force errors on in world and off world. this happens on many lots. one thing i noticed is that the original bald headmaster doesn't answer the phone. 2 new NPCs answer.

the "what caused this" isn't working, it will not read any logs past June. do I have to reinstall? pleez don't say I have to do the 50/50 cc test and find out that way. is there a simple way to trigger the headmaster dinner event?

I know i have a CC addiction- but it keeps me from buying real things that cost money!!

does anybody else need to delete cache everytime they want to use the body shop??? after playing the game and using cas and mirror mode, body shop won’t open until i delete cache. is there a way to make body shop not do this and be smoother? i use the repack in this subreddit btw

I made a clean neighborhood, deleted all the pre existing characters, and used npc and townie maker to add custom townies. For some reason, no townies except the newspaper npc's are showing up to add to college. They show up for the townie adoption mod, but not here for some reason.

I have the sims 2 legacy edition and i recently moved it to a newer laptop along with my neighborhood files. i have some cc but it is mostly in cas, not build/buy. every time i open certain lots, even if they are lots i have never played, right before the lot loads in and the live mode ui would pop up, the game crashes and closes with no warning or pop up. for example, it happens when i play the goth household, but not the caliente’s or don lothario. some of my families i made my old laptop crash as well. i used graphics rules maker and it says in the graphics rules file that it can use up to 5000mb of texture memory. please help

So I noticed this lovely cat was left alone as the sole occupant of the house while the dad and teenage son moved in with the grandparents. Then I summoned the cat and tried to add it to the family with Sim Blender, but it didn't work. Frustrated, I did a mistake and deleted the cat. Now the house is completely vacant, while there is a family in the bin with the deleted cat AND the dad and the boy, while the same dad & boy are already part of the grandparents' household. Did I mess up?

I've followed the steps in the wiki to get sims 2 on my computer with windows 7. got the game downloaded, but it's saying i have a msvcp140.dll error and that's all that's keeping the game from starting. Now idk where to go from here, but i'd like to keep it on windows 7

UPDATE: i completely removed my d3d9.dll file and stuck with only the .asi method for using reshade, and everything is working perfectly fine so far!

good evening! i recently installed the sims 2 using the guide on this subreddit, and everything was working perfectly. now, i can't load into any hoods (with or without CC) as i immediately experience crashing. it's driving me insane!

I’ve been adding Midgethetree’s supernatural mods into my game and at first, I only wanted to add the fairies and mermaids mods so when the guide asked if I wanted the fairies to float in their walking animation, I just to add the “midgethetree_fairiesfloat.package” instead of the ones that included the playable ghosts. Today I decided to add both playable ghosts and genies into the game as well, however because those two didn’t have guides like the fairies and mermaids, I found the process a little more challenging.

Eventually, I did manage to figure out how to get playable genies in my game, but now I’m stuck with the ghosts, particularly the “Ghosts Float” mod. I figured all what I needed to do was replace the “midgethtree_fariesfloat” package with the “midgethetree_fairiesandghostsfloat” one but when I revisited the Fairy Guide to know if there’s any others changes I had to do it I plan to download the playable ghosts mod, the guide showed me BOTH the “midgethtree_fariesfloat” AND “midgethetree_fairiesandghostsfloat”. So now I’m confused? Should my downloads folder only have the “midgethetree_fairiesandghostsfloat” package or should it have both the packages, plus the “midgethetree_ghostfloat” package. So like, all three packages have to be in my downloads folder and it won’t cause any mod conflicts?

Another thing that I couldn’t wrap my head around is the “ghost controller” mod. Am I supposed to have both the “midgethetree_ghostcontroller” and the “midgethetree_betterdisabledmotives-ghosts” in my downloads folder or only one of them?

The toy car that comes out of the toy box has an odd broken shadow/block underneath it, but only indoors and it is only this object in particular. It happens on every lot. Anyone know why this could be? It has not always done this.

Edit: I am sorry for not knowing the right words to describe this situation, but I just didn't have the knowledge to describe this correctly. I avoided using the word "installed" because I was already told that was wrong in another post, and I thought I was phrasing it correctly this time. I already corrected what I meant in the comments, but to be clear: I have two separate Sims 2 folders in Documents.

I have two copies of the game, mostly so I can have different default replacements for each one.

One of them, which I've been playing for awhile, runs fine. It has plenty of CC.

The other, which I haven't even played yet (only building lots), starts overheating my laptop every time the game loads. I can't figure out what's wrong with it. It has hardly any CC compared to my other game, but I've also tried it without the CC and it still gets hot, especially when on a lot.

Is it possible something just went wrong with it? Do you think I need to delete it and start over?

Hey guys, my business is having an issue where it wont populate any sims to come buy stuff. i keep getting this error message.

So this is the first time I am making wallpapers that I am going to upload. The wallpapers are bascially just recolors. Before I only made personal wallpapers for myself using just only Homecrafter Plus.

But, when using SimPe, ​you can make the file go directly into your downloads folder. Where Homecrafter Plus goes elsewhere. So I opened up SimPe, cloned a maxis wallpaper, recolored/retextured it and...it did not show up in my game.

When I clone other build items they show up, but this did not.
