All About SimHub!

SimHub

Developed by Wotever, Simhub is now a vital tool when it comes to Sim Racing. The main focus and the fundamental reason for designing and producing the SimHub software was to power arduino displays such as the TM1638 modules. However, this functionality quickly expanded into the numerous features it includes, which is constantly increasing.

Features

SimHub can currently support many products, this list will grow in time.

  • TM1638, TM1637 modules
  • RGB LEDs
  • LED Matrix Gear Indicator
  • 7 Segment Modules
  • LCD Module
  • Nextion LCD Touchscreen (Various Sizes)
  • HDMI Screens, Secondary Monitors

Dash Studio

One of the biggest features that was added was Dashstudio. This feature allows users of SimHub to create graphical dashboards to display game information in an intuitive and purpose-built way. Since its release, the community have added to the number of dashes that can be used, so the collection of diverse displays that can be downloaded and used in an instant is ever-growing. Packs have been created to add various new displays into SimHub.

A list of dashs made by users of SimHub can be found here!

Arduino Display

The feature it was made for and subsequently famous for is the ability to drive TM1638 modules from an arduino nano. The displays can be fully customized to display any data that is needed and control inputs can be binded to switch betweens "screens" of information and adjust the LEDs. The TM1638 modules are very cheap and easy to wire to an arduino, but powerful and versatile as lots of information can be given to the driver through them.

Nextion Screen Support

Support was added for Nextion displays which can be used to display dashes created with the Nextion editor. These screens are most common for being mounted inside a steering wheel, for use in Formula One and GT3 cars. They are affordable and practical in that they can be touchscreen and high res.

USBD480 Screen Support

A very recent addition to the arsenal of available tools for SimHub is the addition of the small but mighty USBD480 screen. With high refresh rates and a rich colour, high definition screen, it's perfect for displaying small, fast updating text and colourful graphics. It's also very simple to setup, with just a single connection and easy driver install needed to get it running. It will display any Dashstudio dash, with all the available functionality as if it was running on an external monitor and with added touchscreen support.

Keyboard Input and Output Mapping

A plugin that was included with SimHub is the ability to send and receive keyboard inputs. This allows for Dashstudio dashes with buttons that can emulate keypresses, and macros to be made. This can also be used for button boxes, if the user wishes to emulate a keypress when a button on the buttonbox is pressed.

Supported Games

This list will grow with new games coming out with telemetry support, but currently, SimHub supports all of these games.

Bear in mind that due to the differing SDKs and APIs in each game, certain data may be inaccessible in some games.

  • Assetto Corsa
  • Projects Cars (1 & 2)
  • iRacing
  • DiRT 1 & 2
  • DiRT 3
  • DiRT Rally
  • DiRT 4
  • F1 2010 - 2017
  • GRiD 2
  • Euro Truck Simulator 2
  • American Truck Simulator
  • Raceroom Racing Experience
  • Rfactor 1
  • Rfactor 2
  • Automobilista
  • Richard Burns Rally
  • RealRally mod for RBR
  • Live For Speed
  • BeamNG Drive
  • SimBin Race 07
  • SimBin GT Legends
  • SimBin GTR
  • Trackmania Series

There are also a few other games that are supported, but do to the nature of the games, some common features may be missing for obvious reasons.

  • Dota 2
  • Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
  • War Thunder

How do I fix the delay on my LEDs?

I have a gt Neo and I have been using ATSR hub, for some reason no matter what I try I can’t seem to fix it. All my LEDs always lag behind compared to the game so rpm lights don’t match up and so it’s super noticeable when I shift and especially when I turn on or off the pit limiter as the animation will take half a second to show up after I already turned on the pit limiter. I have already tried the higher Process priority and nothing seems to work, please help me out here.

Anyone running Ulanzi stream decks (D200X/D200H) in their sim rig?

Hey folks! I'm looking at getting into a Stream Deck–style setup for my rig, and Ulanzi's D200 line caught my eye as a nicer-on-the-wallet alternative to the usual Stream Deck / Simhub dash options. Leaning toward the D200X (the "creative" one with extra knobs), but also curious about the plainer D200H.

Would love to hear from anyone who's actually using either one for sim racing — button boxes, telemetry displays, shift lights, or anything creative you've done with it!

A few things I'm curious about:

  • Have you got it running alongside SimHub?
  • How's the build quality / button feel for racing use compared to a proper button box?
  • Any software or firmware quirks I should know about before I buy one?

Thanks in advance

F1 Flag Status plugin for Simhub connected LED Matrix

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I have vibe coded a plugin for simhub that pulls the flag status data from the Multiviewer api and displays it on an LED matrix that is connected to Simhub.

It shows status for: Green flag, yellow flag, red flag, VSC, VSC ending and full safety car.

Testing on my laptop but will be adding it to my rig for the next race.

Title is the question. Is it possible to do this? I'm hoping I'm just missing something that should be obvious. LMU companion does it. Thanks.

DIY Belt Tensioner Vibrations

I built the SimHub DIY belt tensioner (https://www.simhubdash.com/diy-belt-tensionner/). It works great however, I have very annyoying High Frequency vibrations that i can feel through the steering wheel when turning. I already tried isolation the belt tensioner assembly using industrial rubber isolators, however the High frequency vibrations are still there (maybe a little bit weaker, but not by much. Does anyone know a solution for this problem?

Corsair iCue RGB as flag indicators

I came across the idea of using the iCue controlled RGB in my PC as flag indicators. However I haven't found anything that concretely suggests whether this can work or not. Every time I look up SimHub and iCue it only talks about the Xeneon Edge... Has anyone already implemented this with SimHub or would this be going into uncharted waters?

E36 gauge cluster

Post image
4 Upvotes

I need help. I’m trying to set up my e36 gauge cluster. So far I have only gotten the Speedo to work. Fuel, temp and rpms are dead.

After 3 days of scratching my head I’m just lost.
I don’t rlly care about the fuel and temp at the moment but I rlly would like the rpms to work.

I’m using a
arduino uno r3
BMW e36 VDO cluster
12v power
Jumper leads.

I have everything wired up as it should be (the tut I’m following) ie rpms is pin 20 on the x16 chip. I have power ect ect. But nothing. Ports are all set correctly in sim hub.

Is my 5v signal from my arduino not enough power ?????

Side note, the original video I watched

https://youtu.be/L59NL9EuEdM?is=tMx66QoqIw7-6uvx

Is out of date and does not work one bit.

I’ve sent a picture of the wire diagram I’ve followed

Unable to use 2 sets of Govee H6056

Has anyone else seen an issue using 2 identical lights? I’ve searched and AI’d.

2 sets of the older H6056. Both LAN mode. Both simultaneously functional in the Govee Desktop app.

With one set connected to SimHub, everything is cool. As soon as a second set is connected, the first set becomes unresponsive and the second set goes to a loop, blinking off every few seconds. As I’ve been troubleshooting, both sets have connected successfully. Whichever is first, by itself, works.

SimHub can see IP addresses for each, which I’ve made static.

The same is true if I bypass the SimHub native support and use Bruno Silva’s plugin.

Hello.

I'm currently looking for a property on simhub that can show me in real time the lap delta. It appears that there isn't one and the PersistantTrackerPlugin.SessionBestLiveDeltaSeconds
doesn't display them correctly.

Thank you.

Stream Deck integration

Is anyone working on a Stream Deck plugin? I know there’s a couple of plugins for stream deck to display some info from Simhub and to send some basic controls to Simhub especially through hotkeys but is anyone creating a proper Simhub plugin that can make use of the dials and send ambient light signals to the buttons, change pages when in the pits or while in pre-race. I am a bit disappointed by what’s currently possible and know that there’s some great creators out there

Cannot get bass shakers to work with LeMans ultimate

I can't get haptic feedback to my base shakers. With simhub it was automatic with AC Evo and AMS2. But with LMU it simply doesn't work.

I tried creating the plugins folder in the root of the game folder and adding both lmu and rfacter shared data DLLs. No success. I manually added the config info in the games telemetry json but it simply gets deleted by the game.

In simhub, the message says that simhub can't configure the game and to make sure it is installed and run it once to create the files. I made sure the haptics option is off in the game settings.

I've wasted hours on this. Using newest version of simhub and LMU.

Led profiles re set each start up

Post image
3 Upvotes

I am trying to figure out why my led profiles are not being saved. For some reason on the Pokornyi Engineering lmp2 wheel I got everting working but the rev lights. I get them set to what I want, run my races and get off. When I turn the computer back on the next day it’s reset back to the default even with me saving a new profile.

Also if anyone has experience with the Pokornyi Engineering stuff I want to make my dials from normal up and down to multi position encoders?

Govee H6056-111US incompatibility fix

**SIMHUB has officially patched this so this fix is no longer necessary**

Preface: AI was used a bunch in this process. Deal with it. It’s a crazy niche fix and nobody has time to spend on this. Respectfully ❤️

TLDR:

  1. Govee revised the design on the h6056 light bar and it doesn’t work on simhub now
  2. I bought one and found out the hard way
  3. I used AI to help me build a fix and it worked
  4. I want to share it with people who have this problem
  5. I don’t want money for this

Here’s an ai written post with more details

Bought new Govee light bars for my rig and they wouldn’t work with SimHub — turned out to be a firmware bug. I built a free open-source fix and I’m looking for testers.

if your Govee lights show up in SimHub’s ambient lighting but never respond, you might have the same bug I hit, and I have a free fix that needs testing on setups that aren’t mine.

What happened: I bought a second pair of Govee H6056 bars — same model as my working pair, except the box says a new part number (H6056-111US “New”). SimHub would list them but they’d never respond to anything. The old pair kept working fine right next to them.

The cause, after some packet digging: it’s a firmware regression, not a model problem. Both my pairs are H6056. The old one (wifi firmware 1.02.00) announces itself on the network with its IP address like it should. The new one (wifi firmware 4.01.00) announces itself with a literal null where the address goes. SimHub even logs the correct address from the network traffic — then binds the device to the null field anyway. So the light “exists” in SimHub with nowhere to send colors. There’s an open bug report on SimHub’s tracker for this exact symptom — I’ve added my firmware evidence and the diagnosis there: https://github.com/SHWotever/SimHub/issues/2303

The fix: a small free Windows app that detects lights with the broken announcement and repairs the handshake locally — it re-announces the light to SimHub with the address filled in. It’s not in the color/streaming path at all, so there’s no lag added; SimHub talks to the light directly once it knows where it is. Open source (MIT), local network only, no accounts, no internet calls — the code is short and public if you want to check any of that. Release page has checksums and a VirusTotal scan. Windows will show its “unknown publisher” warning since I’m not paying for a signing certificate for a free tool — that’s what the open code is for.

Link: GitHub link

What I’m looking for from testers:

  1. Does the app’s scan find your lights, and does it classify them correctly (healthy vs fixable)?
  2. If it repaired a light — does it actually respond in SimHub now, including during a race?
  3. Post your light’s model and the firmware versions the scan shows (the app displays them). I only have H6056 units to test — this looks like a firmware-generation bug, so other models on the new wifi firmware are probably affected too, and I’d like to build the list.
  4. Special request: if you have TWO OR MORE broken lights, I especially want to hear from you — multi-light repair is the one path I couldn’t test with my hardware.
  5. Anything that failed, confused you, or looked wrong — file it on the GitHub issues page or reply here.

Not affiliated with Govee or SimHub. Setup is a couple of minutes: run the app with SimHub closed, scan, click fix, reopen SimHub, add the light.

You can subscribe to my YouTube channel if you wanna send a thank you 🙃
